SAP QM Processes in the Logistics Supply Chain - 1

The processes for documenting QM-relevant data for a product may differ between companies. A variety of standard processes (for example, inspections at goods receipts or in production) are subject to planning activities and must be carried out on a regular basis.

Unexpected problems and defects must also be recorded and processed in an appropriate manner. Depending on the requirements, inspections can be planned in advance and the results (in the form of measured values, for example) can be documented.

QM processes can be triggered by different events.

Standard processes (for example, inspections during production, goods receipt inspections) are planned in advance and are triggered regularly.

Event-controlled processes occur spontaneously (such as defects in production, damaged goods at goods receipt). The problems that arise can be recorded and processed in a quality notification.

In addition, you can monitor critical values using the information system and if necessary, trigger tasks via the Workflow. The data collected in planned and event-controlled processes (such as, the number of complaints) is evaluated in the information system.
